Materials
- A empty washed 2L milk carton
- Scissor
- A light plate or lid that's 8 cm wider than the milk carton (If you don't have any, a cardboard that's 8 cm wider than the carton will work, too)
- Hook
- White glue / Carpenter glue
Procedure
1. Put the carton so it's facing up, cut a hole about the size of your two of your thumbs on each BOTTOM EDGE OF THE SIDE of the carton, do not cut a hole in the bottom.
2. Put white / carpenter glue on the bottom of the carton, then press it onto the lid/plate or cardboard, press it for 5 minutes. (Careful, don't bend or break the carton)
3. Open the lid of the carton, put in about 65% of seeds.
4. Hook it up onto your tree, fence or somewhere you want. Then wait patiently for birds to come, it takes a while for them to discover food sources.
Tips
- Once you started feeding them, do not stop. Birds get used to a certain food source really quickly (except for some migration birds), if you stop feeding them, they will starve to death.
